Tingleywatch!!

WP_000178

I put up the wireless camera box this afternoon in time for the birdies to find it while house-hunting for the spring. The camera is connected wirelessly (the wire on the piccie is to the plug in the garage to power the camera) and I’ve set up a stream of the inside of the box to this blog. Use the Tingleywatch menu item above.

The stream is through a service called Ustream. It’s a free service and so when you first go on you get an advert, and then some text ones coming up, but I’m not paying $99 a month for no ads!

After I’ve tested the stream for a few days, what would then be good is for it to take a couple of photos a day so progress can be viewed. If, hopefully, we get tenants into the box, the stream can be recorded so we don’t miss fledging, and I’d record a day to get feeding footage as well.

If we don’t get anybody in this year, the camera can be moved to a feeding station which I’ll stream instead!

Have a look now, at the link above. You’ll get colour during the day, and black & white when it gets darker.
