Beningbrough Hall

Anniversary weekend so spending a weekend in Harrogate. On the way we went to the National Trust Property at Beningbrough Hall (http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-vh/w-visits/w-findaplace/w-beningbroughhallandgardens/)

Location of Beningbrough Hall

Even with it being so close to us (west of York), we’d never visited before. This is probably as it’s always been a bit too far from either the Dales or coast where we’ve been on holiday.

Anyway a really nice house and fantastic gardens. The gardens aren’t very large but they are beautifully looked after. They are arranged around large brick walls which are covered with loads of varieties of apples, pears, vines and cherries. We reckon it’s by far the best kitchen garden we’d seen with so many different varieties very well looked after and have superb crops.
