Instead of a daily entry, a digest of the last few days for journal purposes.
Arrived on Friday, gorgeous weather. Who needs sunny abroad with the stress of travel, airports and everything else when this country is so stunning, and half the house can be packed in the back of an estate! After getting to the apartment we wandered into Cromer.
On Saturday, we decided just to spend time in Cromer. We walked into town and then down onto the quay and then onto the pier. The brand new lifeboat station at the end of the pier is well worth a look and the town looked stunning in the sunshine. Following this we wandered up to the massive church (very welcoming) before heading back to the apartment for a relax in the garden and a play on Thomas’ new scooter.
On Sunday we went to the wonderful National Trust property Blickling Hall. The gardens are stunning, nice cake and a good trail for children.
On Monday, we took the Wells to Walsingham light railway. In Walsingham we just had time before the returning train to go to the Anglican Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham. Thomas thought the holy water was ‘delicious’ – ahem!
