Went to a nice manor house and gardens this morning (Samares Manor – www.samaresmanor.com). Gardens not quite in bloom yet but very pleasant. Guided tour of house was interesting as it contains a lot of the history of the link Jersey has with the crown and France.
In the afternoon, we went to La Mare winery. Had a tour, tasting and cream tea (!) Made some purchases to enjoy over the rest if the holiday (www.lamarewineestate.com). This picture is of the house next to the winery, nice!
Between attractions we popped into St Helier to pick up tickets for the Jersey Symphony Orchestra on Saturday. The concert is in Fort Regent which overlooks the harbour. This was the view today:
